Actual Weight, Volumetric Weight and Billable Weight

Actual Weight

Actual weight is the weight in KGs of the package. Includes the weight of packaging and label.

Volumetric Weight

Volumetric weight is calculated using the formula below:

Width x Length x Height in centimetres / 6000 (Varies depending on courier) = Volumetric Weight in KGs.

DHL: 5000

UKMail: 4000

UPS: 5000

myHermes: N/A

Collect+: N/A

Therefore if you send a 1 KG parcel with of size 60*30*20 cm with DHL, its volumetric weight will be: 60*30*20/5000 = 7.2 KG.

Billable Weight

Compare the package's actual weight to its volumetric weight. The larger of the two weights is the billable weight and should be used to calculate the rate.
